Hello everyone! I finally got a chance to test my 5GB Mac iPod that I got from a friend for $70 without a charger, just the unit. Pretty nice deal. I was at a place where a kid had a firewire card with an iPod so I plugged mine in (I brought it on purpose to test), formatted the hard drive off from being a Mac to Windows format using the software, worked fine and it synced with iTunes, I was impressed.

Now that I know it works, I'm going to buy a FireWire card for it. I need the cheapest possible with one or two ports, whatever. It would be nice if it included a standard cable with a 1394 standard connection (old iPod style) on each end of it, so I wouldn't have to buy that. Under $20 shipped would be really nice, don't really know where to go as there are so many of them from different places. Wondering if someone knows if there's a good place to go for generic or name brand cards that are cheap!

Help a mod out! Thanks!

Hey Eric,

I found a 4 port (3 external, 1 internal) PCI Firewire card for $19.99 onsale. There's shipping involved, but you can go to UPS.com and figure out the rates. Use Houston, TX 77036 as the ship from address. Here's the link:
