Free $1 credit when you use eBay's online postage for the 1st time. 8/2-8/6/05

http://pages.ebay.com/promo/onlinepostage0405/

*eBay members who meet the eligibility requirements will receive a credit of $1.00 by mid September 2005.

When is it?
Starting August 2, 2005 between 00:00:01 PT (12:00 AM plus one second on Tuesday, August 2, 2005) and ending 23:59:59 PT on Saturday, August 6, 2005 (11:59 PM plus 59 seconds).

Who is eligible?
Any eBay member (US and eBay Motors non-vehicles) who has never printed a U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail® or Express Mail® shipping label through eBay. This offer is for first-time users of these labels only. Once you print your first USPS Priority Mail or Express Mail shipping label through eBay, you will be eligible for a credit to your account after this promotion ends.

How do I get my credit?
Enter your User ID in the space located at the top of this page and register to participate in the eBay Online Postage promotion. Next, for closed auction and fixed price listings, use the "print shipping label" feature found on the View Item page or My eBay, or the "ship" button on the PayPal account overview page (see instructions for accessing below). Please note that you must be registered with PayPal to print Online Postage through eBay.

How do I print a shipping label?
1. Click on the Print Shipping Label link on the View Item page or My eBay (you can also print the 'ship' button on the PayPal account overview page).
2. After logging into PayPal, confirm shipping information and click "Pay and Continue."
3. Print your label, attach it to your package and schedule USPS® carrier pickup! Note: you do not need special labels or paper, just print on regular paper.
What are the fees?
There is no fee associated with printing a Priority Mail® or Express Mail® shipping label via eBay's Online Postage.

However, the postage costs for shipping still apply. For additional information, visit the USPS® Shipping Zone on eBay or the "Print Shipping Labels" page in the eBay Shipping Center.

Please note: the credit for first time use of eBay's Online Postage will not immediately appear on your listings or billing invoice. The credit will appear sometime mid September, 2005.

haha...wow a whole dollar. eBay is very generous....especially considering their last reported net income was almost $800million.

But if you multiply that dollar by 800 million eBayers, what do you get? ;)
