which is a weather junkies' heaven. A $10 membership provides one year of ad-free viewing of the site, unlimited access to the animated loops, severe weather and daily email service and a favorites list. They also have a great mobile site to access from your cell phone.

To get a free 1-year trial, use coupon code BAVV5 when you sign up.

Great deal, Glitterdog!

I was in this paid so signed in with other half details and added a freebie for him - nice surprise when he wakes up

You can get all that information from the same place that they get it from for free.

www.weather.gov

Weather Underground is usually first to strike up an argument whenever the media is alerted first to a warning about to be put out. They are out for profit....nothing else. The weather service is also experimenting with twitter too to put out warnings. All of the information is already free. They just add some shiny graphics to make their page more user friendly whereas, the weather service is only interested in providing information.

Thanks for this! We actually have a very hard time getting local weather forecasts that are acurate! I am totally loving this!

My experience for the past 6 years or so is that weatherunderground is the most accurate report and is usually different than the other weather reports (which accounts for their being more accurate).
