-on the second page of the form at the bottom enter referral code: fst -if you don’t enter that code you won’t get the $10. -because it’s a mastercard it requires your SS#, but it’s legit and ran by a bank called MetaBank-the funds will show up when you activate the card. You have to fill out the info that shows up after you enter the code to be able to lo-in. I tried to log in after entering the code and it would not let me. After filling in I received my email verification.

Cool.. I did some research on the bank online to make sure it's legit, as I'm extremely hesitant to give out my SS number. I found stuff about them on mastercard.com and all, so they definitely seem legit. I went ahead and signed up with the code. My balance doesn't show the $10 yet, but even if it doesn't show up at least I'm out nothing. :) Thanks for such a great find!
 
I'm an ambassador for Facecard and it is legit. I can let you know this is a limited time offer. The free $10 is an offer available for the entire month of December.

I am not sure if you have to enter in a referral code to get the $10 or not. If you want or need one I can provide you with mine, just pm me for it.

Also multiple members per household can have a Facecard, IE you can get one your dh can have one etc. Anyone 13 and over is eligible to get a card. And yes the OP is correct you will have to enter your SS #.

Final note these come really quick. My dh got his in less than a week at the end of November when he signed up.

Be careful of the fees!!!

Please be aware that they do charge a MONTHLY "Inactive Account Fee" of $4.95 after 90 days of non-usage. Then, if you've already used the $10.00 and the inactive account fee is assessed, you'll probably get hit with the Negative Balance Fee (per incident) of $9.95. So I guess you'll have to cancel the card after using the $10, or keep using it if it's something useful to you.

The below is from the FAQ and Terms and Conditions from the Facecard site:

What is an inactive account fee?

Inactive account fee is assessed after 90 days of inactivity on the account. This fee is avoided by using the card. A load of funds to the card, gift from the card to another card member, or purchase all count as activity. If for some reason an account goes unused for more than ninety days, the cardholder is charged a $4.95 fee.

Inactive Account Fee
Inactive accounts are defined as having no deposits, loads or purchases in a consecutive period of 90 days. This fee is assessed monthly.

Activation - FREE
Monthly Membership - FREE
Loading funds from a bank account (via ACH) - FREE
Facecard to Facecard transfer - FREE

My $10 is showing up in my acct. Thanks for letting us know about inactive fee. I am going to use my for Xmas shopping then close the acct. Thanks

Just got an email that my balance is below $10. I didn't rec the card yet. Hope they don't start charging for a low balance. Anyone else get that email? Thanks
 
Yeah, whitty, i got that email too.

i'm scared of fees... so how do we cancel the account?

I got the same email also. I don't think they are going to charge those fees retroactively that would be very bad business! Also you do not have the card yet so it has not been activated and therefore is currently just a piece of plastic
Since they do not have access to any of your banking or CC info the only way they could charge you fees for inactivity etc... is if you would put money on the card again. If it is useful to you by all means keep it. Otherwise enjoy the free 10 bucks and if you want to cancel the card or just cut it up.
 
I'm afraid I missed the e-mail confirmation

Does anyone know who the confirmation e-mail comes from, or the subject? I don't see it, but I get a ton of e-mail on my freebie e-mail account.

I signed up, and my balance is still showing as $0.00. I haven't received the actual card yet. Hope this really works!
 
My boyfriend and I recieved our cards today. We activated them and theres no balance on them. When I signed up it said I had $10 but now my account is $0. Anyone else having this problem?
 
i started to sign up for this offer and then i read the terms of agreement and terms of use. there are fees for everything on this card. there is a $9.95 usage fee, late fees, no balance fees, etc.....i think its just a harvesting site to get your information, specifically your social security number. i would watch your credit reports for unusual activity!!!

I just received my card in the mail and am having the same problem. My balance is 0.
