Free 2009 Great Backyard Bird Count Ambassador Kit

This is awsome, surrounding all of my property is MA audubon sanctuary, but since there is no 'real boundry' I am in the midst of lots of wild life, since there is no hunting there, there is a diverse population of animals. We have our mountain lion and her kittens up in the back too.
So when I saw this I was so excited, thank you so much!!
(I know... I'm a nerd) :peace:

Thanks for posting, glitterdog. I found my town already listed as being involved so the grandkids and I will pitch-in to help out in anyway we can. I don't know what all will be involved, but it sounds not only educational but a way to help protect our wildlife while learning. And.......karebear70, being willing to get involved, does not make you a "nerd" but rather a helping hand. I think that makes you a true "karebear"!

It's that time of year again. Fill your feeders, find the binoculars, find a clip board, print the count form and have fun. This is a great activity for children/family and even teens tend to like it.

Great prizes this year: binoculars, feeder, bird cam and more.

Happy counting!

i signed up last week but never got anything, it starts tommorow, so I'm not counting on it, we were looking forward to it, and I offered to get my town involved by handing them out at our library, alot of people go there, especially kids, it's the busiest place in town!

thank you

Thank you for this post. My granddaughter is a member of the Order of Rainbow Girls and this may be a good project to help them earn badges.:)
