I suggest signing up anyway... If you live in a state not list, you can always send the $5 to a friend/relative who does live in a state on the list... :)
 
i ran a "who is" on starbucksconnections.com since there's no link to it from the starbucks.com homepage. it's registered to Eric Abrams with an email address from theemailclub.com -- might it be a scam to sell your email address? i'm going to pass on this just in case - if/when you guys get the g.c. let us know!

Great catch clubchick. Hopefully this is legit, but you never know.
 
I went to the Starbuck's site and submitted a request to find out if this is legit. I'll let everyone know.
 
Thanks babuska73. Well, I think you can still sign up with a neighboring state and then they'll ask u for ur address. worked for me ;) Just awaiting the card.

I am a little bit suspicious about this offer. They don't ask you for your address right off. Instead, you're suppose to look in your email for details on when you'll receive the card. Still waiting for that email...
 
Did anyone look at the fine print privacy info? I clicked on it, and it came up on a http://www.merchantinternetgroup.com/ page. If it was a true privacy policy (like the one @ the bottom of the page that they ripped off from Starbucks' site...), it should be legalize, right?

Very crafty site - direct links to Starbucks' homepage and info... I'd hate to be the owner of the site should it truly be a hoax.

Cap'n Java and Juan Valdez will be all over him...

I had received the mail the next day where they asked address and said they'll send the $5 card on the way.
 
should be legit...

I first heard about this deal from a brochure that I picked up in a starbucks location... I don't think they'd have it in the stores if it wasn't good.
 
i recieved the email and it says my card loaded with $5 is on its way!

Gee its not even every $tarbucks in Ohio. Listed only two Charbucks locations in the Toledo area. Seems like we have one on every corner in Columbus. Every Barnes and Noble has one, most of the Giant Eagle grocery stores, heck they are everywhere!!!! But this offer is only applicable at 2 shops in the whole state!
