On August 31 get a free AVG Antivirus 9 Pro (Normally $34.99) license good for a year.

Works on Windows

The promotion will be live between midday CET (central European time) Tuesday 31st of August and midday CET 1st of September 2010.

Note, that although we have many thousands of AVG AntiVirus 9 [1-PC, 1-Year] codes to giveaway for free, and everyone can get a code, if the codes expire early, the giveaway promotion will also end early.

wroks for me.

Im just curious, once you download the 2Mb installer, can you still use it later if you arnt ready to install it now, or does the installer only work for 24 hours?
 
AVG Not That Effective

I have used and recommended AVG for years to my clients. I recently discovered that it has been letting Trojan viruses thru. So I no longer recommend it.
For a free antivirus, Avast is still very good.

According to this you can install anytime...

The promotion is online and available between midday CET 31 August and midday CET 1 September 2010. You can obtain your serial code during this period and install at any time.

Regular AVG 9 is already free?
 
No dude, you need the use the key the website gave you to get a different key from AVG.
 
Comodo Internet Security Premium (Anti-Virus/Firewall/Exe protection/Sandbox) is always free =)
 
The front page says this offer is expired, however I just registered a code. The site has a countdown that says over 4 hours remain until the promotion is over. Just a heads up.
 
AVG is stopping...

I followed the instructions- now Im getting a message saying YOUR SALES NUMBER MUST BE REGISTERED WITHIN 19 DAYS..

What the $#*( is that?

Yeah me too - just expired and I went through all the steps correctly. Kept getting a message saying my key was invalid or already in use when I tried to register.


EDIT: Just fixed it. Had to dig in my deleted folder- went and found the actual email from AVG that had my real code in it. This is different from the code sent from the first company. Look for an email from
AVG Customer Services [[email protected]]
Subject: AVG Product Registration

Then go into AVG and update your registration code then do a product update. It updated mine to working with valid serial.
