Thanks for posting. I do not want anymore downloader crap installed on my computer though. I have heard a few horror stories with regards to Amazon and their Kindle reading downloads.

Well, it just 'recommended' downloading their software to me, probably because I'm using a mac. If that's the case, then you can use http://chrispederick.com/work/user-agent-switcher/ in firefox to make amazon think you're also on a mac (or running linux) to get them off your back. (my boyfriend used to use that add-on because some sites didn't like him using linux!) I don't know if that's the case in fact though. (also if the UA switcher blows something up, not my fault I swear :D)

Yeah, I agree. :28: Seems like a sneaky way to get their software on our computers.
