Are these only for the Nook? We have a Kindle and at first glance it looks these may not work without anything but the Nook. Anyone try them yet?

ok dumb question about ereaders....i just got one now can you get ebooks from anywhere or do they have to be from the manufacturer..for instance i got the borders ereader do i HAVE to get books from borders only?

oops didnt refresh page to see the previous post....same question lol

Not sure about Borders e-reader, but the Color Nook from B&N can now be hacked to run the Kindle application!

There is also a free app on this webpage that makes it possible to use the free e-books on your Ipad, Iphone, Mac or PC, so you shouldn't need the reader to take advantage. Downloading app now for PC. Will edit this post if I have problems.

I have PanDigital e-Reader and all of these e-books downloaded just fine for me. I would highly recommend reading "The Demon Girl" and "Carved in Bone". Both of these books are excellent!

eReader info

-If you own a regular, non-color Nook, you have to get books from Barnes and Noble, or from a friend with a Nook using the Lend-A-Book feature.
-With the Nook Color, you can use the Barnes and Noble library and you *should* be able to use the eBooks provided by your local library.
-If you own a Kindle you have to get books from Amazon.
-The Pandigital is made to work with Barnes and Noble the smoothest, but you can use public libraries and any company that uses a .pdf or .epub format. Barnes and Noble's tech support is not very friendly with the Pandigital users. You will need to contact Pandigital if you have issues.

Your local Best Buy *should* be able to help you answer any questions you have. Again *should*. The folks at some stores are better (and nicer) than others!
