This is a great find. Not too difficult of a 3D program to use. I bought Bryce 3 for about $90 a couple years ago and it's worth every penny. It doesn't compare with 3DS Max, MAYA...etc.

I agree. I messed around w/ an earlier version when I was in college.... it's super fun to mess with and a trained monkey could use it. Great for kids or starting artists.

Ive been using Bryce since there was no number behind it. Long long time. I love this program. It is very easy and is very powerful considering the ease of use. Now if only there was a free version of Bryce 6! (Its only up to 5.5 so far).. Or Poser!

This is a great way to have a legit copy insead of the pirated one that I have now. :zip

Nice, been using Bryce for many years now and it realy is great!!

Got it! Thanks Spoofee! I'll give it a try...

Looks like they have other free stuff. In fact, it seems they have a different free object add-on package each week.
Here are three currently free pre-made object add-ons;

The previous three models use Stuffit, a Mac compression utility. However, the free decompressor is here:

and here's a fourth, but it says it requires the "high bandwidth" version, so I don't know if it will work with the free Bryce:

once you've registered and created your account, you can find more free objects and such in there "past free stuff" section:

Also, "Studio Daz" is free. It's a plug in geared more towards modeling characters.

Description from website:
"This plugin allows you to load in thousands of 3D figures, vehicles, wildlife and more while you work inside of Bryce. Launch this application to either import new content into your Bryce scene, or to edit pre-imported assets. Any changes to the imported content are updated to your Bryce scene at the touch of a button, allowing you to continue your creative process without unnecessary interruption. Faster load times, increased stability, and more logical object grouping have been added as compared to the previous Turbo Import solution (available separately)."

Wow, nice find. I hope to use it someday. Maybe if I start real small...

Thanks!

When you first install Bryce it tells you about a content package that you should install. I missed the name and location of this content. Does anyone know what they meant?

THanks
