Adults are normally $21 and children are normally $14 admission. On October 3, the San Diego Zoo is FREE to everyone. This only happen once a year.

Also, the month of October is Children’s Month at The San Diego Zoo; children 11 years of age and younger are admitted free everyday for the entire month of October.

The San Diego Zoo is open 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

hi crisplinen. i'm not sure where it's posted on sandiegozoo.org, but it's been posted on a few sites that the first monday in october is founder's day at the san diego zoo, when admission is free.

it might be a good idea to call the zoo & verify this info, though.

happens every year; its fun if you like being stuck in line for everything, waiting hours to see anything and getting pushed and bumped around all day. plus thousands and thousands of kids.
