This has been offered for a long time. I don't see anyone posting it, so why not?
Co.NR is offering free domain name registration. It's actually a sub-domain, like spoofee.co.nr, but it looks real and cool. I've used this since it began, and nothing but positive. No Credit Card required.

Co.CC is also offering free domain name registration. Same deal - actually a subdomain like spoofee.co.cc, but it looks real and it shorter than "spoofee.freewebhosting.com". No Credit Card here either!
