I've been using this for awhile now and it works great in combination with lavasoft. It doesn't find the standard spyware that lavasoft does but finds adware installed by programs that lavasoft and the others will not. If you ever mess up and download something like mywebsearch, lavasoft will find it but doesn't remove all the components and it rebuilds it self. This program finds all the hidden components and completly removes it from your system. It pretty much saved me from having to format my pc , yet again.
 
I have been using this for a while also... along with (but not running at the same time) as lavasoft and spybot...it is a great thing to have.
 
MalwareBytes is awesome! I'm an IT major working at an ISP and we use this all the time. It definitely works wonders! :teeth:
 
Yeah, my computer was almost no longer functional and I found Malwarebyte's and in 6 minutes it was almost working better than when I first got it two years ago. Programs that I didn't work on it stared to; as well as, some websites that refused to load. I was amazed at how quickly I had a functional computer again.
 
I just thought I'd let everyone know that if you go to cnet.com, they have a download page. Most of which are free and they have user ratings on most so you can actually see what other people think before downloading them to the computer.

It was reccomended to me that I use this instead of Lavasoft, but in addition to spybot. You need more than one. Because one doesn't catch everything.

Definitely. Every program has different "definition" files. Another great one is spy sweeper, but you got to pay for it. Around this time last year spy sweeper was giving away free one year licenses.
 
I've had better results with lavasoft than spybot but use both anyways. One always seems to find something the other dosn't . I also use avg and Maleware bytes. Malware bytes is the only program I can find that will completly remove stubborn adaware. I also started using spyware blaster and noticed a decrease in spyware being installed on my pc.
