Both my wife and mother carry EpiPens. Great to keep them in packets..

Found out that they only last 2 years, and if you get one from the drug store that is more than 6 months old, it is ok to refuse it and ask for a newer one!!

Also, the new pens retract the needle after use!

I didn't know that, I have a few older ones laying around here. Last year I needed one and my guy could only locate an old pen, it worked well enough to get me to the hospital. I now carry what they keep in doctors offices, $10 for two rather the $75 for one pen, the draw back is harder for friends and family to figure out quickly :tongue:
