Office Max is having their Teacher Appreciation Event 8/13-19 for MaxPerks Teachers. Note: homeschooling parents qualify as well. You can show the cashier your MaxPerks Teachers Card or sign up there (at no cost). I received a black bag with:

-Office Max coffee traveller cup
-Expo Marker Minder (stores markers at the whiteboard)
-Expo Dry Erase Pen
-Crayola crayon sample
-post-it samples
-reward stickers (for students)
-Office Max coupons (15% off next purchase, $10 off next purchase of $50 of more, 15% printing services)

Drats! They have closed all the OM near us. However, just a heads up--Staples usually has this as well. Just ask if they have any teachers' bags and they'll usually give you one. Has a lot of goodies also.
 
Hi all! I went to my local store here in Idaho and they told me that you need to check for specific dates. Each store and/or area is different. In Idaho the dates are August 21 - 23, 2008. So make sure you contact your nearest Office Max to clarify the dates for your area.

Staples Teacher Appreciation day is Sat., but if what the mgr. gave me last night is all you get, I was disappointed. He said there is no bag filled with goodies this year. I got something I think they call a flash drive in a little case with a sticker on it saying "Teacher Appreciation Day '08." But if you're into those, go get it. They also had two rulers and two packs of pencils absolutely free per customer. But I have heard that they give teachers even more than that. Also--there are three free items next week (mgr gave me next week's flyer, too). Guess this should be in the Staples thread if there is one, but maybe some will see this here.
