:hmm: Not sure if by requesting the catalogue that you would receive the shears. The wording is not too clear becasue it speaks of the 'members benefits' - I think you get the shears if your subscribe to their mag (which isn't free). We shall see....:hmm:

Received email confirmation to activate my account today, stating that YOU DO receive the free garden sheers for signing up for the free trial memebership as part of your welcome member package that they mail out!!:claps:
 
You don't get the shears. They send you a catalog and then expect you to pay for them.

Once you have signed up for the catalogue and checked the box for the free mag and shears, they send a confirming email and this seems to clearly indicate what you will receive:

"Don't forget - Your Free Trial Membership entitles you to the following benefits:


Gardening How-To Magazine
Pruning Shears - Yours FREE
Free Product Testing Privileges!
Members-Only Web Site
Fantastic Giveaway Prizes
Members-Only Product Offers

Negative. This offer was already posted, the way to get the shears is by paying for a subscription.
 
You don't get the shears unless you sign up for membership, but I did get some plant food and and baby's breath seeds which was nice. It came quick too.

ok, I have been checking out this website for a couple months now and so far have been pretty impressed. But this company was such a scam that I finally had to break my silence and place my first post to spoofee:claps:

I just received an invoice from this club that I signed up for. The bill is due in two weeks. :eek: Granted that $12 isn't alot for the membership and if I was really into gardening it may not have been all bad. HOWEVER - at the top of the invoice it says "30 day trial membership" Well I called the company because I had not received anything, no magazine, no seeds and definately no shears toward my 30 day trial. The rep who answered the phone was not much help and sounded much like Napolean Dynamite in response to my questions. I asked him about the confusion. He admitted to nothing having been shipped out yet but that was why I "had some time" before my bill was due. My question to him was how on earth do they plan on giving me a 30 day trial if my bill is due in 14 days and nothing has even been shipped out yet??? I told him to cancel my membership right away. so sad

I got an issue yesterday and seeds today with a form to fill out for the free sheers. You get the sheers with the trial membership. You just send the form back without a check.
 
I got the free issue too. But with no seeds or form for free shears. I'm confused again. :(
 
I got a free issue and some more seeds with it a couple days ago...nothing about shears though.
