Feeling overworked or overwhelmed? Life getting you down? It's time to turn the tide and look on the bright side. Gather your friends together, celebrate your commitment to each other, and learn to reinvent yourselves by hosting a Kitchen Table Group House Party.

By hosting a party, you'll receive a copy of the uplifting and inspirational new book, "This is Not the Life I Ordered: 50 Ways to Keep Your Head Above Water When Life Keeps Dragging You Down" by Deborah Collins Stephens, Jackie Speier, Michealene Cristini Risley, and Jan Yanehiro. The four women wrote the book after realizing just how cathartic it was to share their life experiences with one another.

In addition to a free copy of the book, your guests will be eligible for special discounted offers, and a special guide for starting their own Kitchen Table Friends group. Participants will also be eligible to enter the national Reinvent Your Life Contest, with the grand prize being an all expenses paid trip to San Francisco, lunch with the book's publisher, a VIP Pass to the annual Professional Business Women of California Conference, a complete cosmetic and wardrobe makeover, and a silver necklace and bracelet autographed by the authors.

Whatever happened to this one? It seems to have been taken off the site. It was still accepting applications a few days ago.

I signed up! You gotta be fast though. They only accept the first 1000!

This party seemed to disappear! They never even took applications, only let you sign up to be notified when they would. I noticed it got moved out over to the party side for a day or so and then poof it was gone! Very disappointing! This was one that I wanted more than any of the others.

What's everyone's thoughts on House Party at this point??? I visited the site Friday and they had a post for a Disney Cruise Party that disappeared in 2 minutes - maybe they were testing it and I just hit the right minute? Now this Table Friends event has gone off the radar after being listed for over a month. I'm not receiving any emails letting me know that I wasn't selected for the parties I did apply for. I was selected for the CN3 party, which was nice, but the party kit arrived at 1pm the day before, so it was nerve wracking! Have you all had better experiences? I like to be organized and professional...Should I just "flow with the go" here???

I signed up for it a month ago. I'm pretty sure it was the full application, not just one of those "sign up to be notified" thingies.

I'm content... but then again, I never plan to host the parties (other than the CN3D party, and that wasn't a formal party - just a bunch of friends drinking and watching TV). I usually just share the contents of my packages with my friends and family. I don't think they give you enough in the packages to actually make hosting a party worthwhile.

That being said, there's some good free stuff in some of the packages. I'm excited about the Gerber House Party package, because my sister had a baby in June. She can use all the help she can get!
