Free Knoppix 3.4 CD & Tux sticker

And v3.3 is a free download, no review req's, at ...

Knoppix is a very interesting Linux distro. It can be run from the CD (which you burn from the download) and, for the sufficiently knowledgeable, can be used to diagnose some hardware problems. You can walk up to any machine with a CD from which you can boot, and an internet connection, boot from the KNOPPIX CD, do various kinds of work, including accessing your email, then shut down, pull out your CD and walk away without there being evidence of your presence. :hmm:
If you aren't already familiar with KNOPPIX, version 3.3 is available as a download of this bootable CD image at http://www.knoppix.com . There you don't have to write a review or even sign up. The version mention in the above post is the absolute latest, v3.4, with a switch to allow booting a kernel based on LINUX 2.6. So if 2.6 means nothing to you, you have another free alternative, previously announce in Spoofee forums, from the Knoppix website.
It is a 700MB download either way.

From the "Installation" page of the Knoppix distro:

"For the bored IT workers in the audience, I present to you a good way of giving your boss a heart attack. Find your company server and boot to the Knoppix CD. Then show your boss the screen, and say, "Hey boss, you know, I was looking at Linux and decided to install it on the server. Doesn't it look really cool?" You won't do any permanent damage to the server, because Knoppix runs in RAM. Of course, THG and I take no responsibility for your actions. I disavow any knowledge of this."

Hmm...
