Since 1914, children have had the joy of receiving letters from Santa Claus for free. Every letter mailed to Santa Claus before December 21st, will receive a letter back from Santa Claus himself! The earlier you can send in your letter the better.

They will send you an answer letter from Santa if your child mails them a letter. You will get back an email letter if you email them a letter also. Letters are postmarked Santa Claus IN

Also, another option for a free Santa Letter is to just drop a note into your mailbox... especially if you are in a big city. Just address it to Santa and put a stamp on it just to make sure. I know for a fact this works in Nashville, TN. You could always put Santa in Nashville, TN to make sure. You will get a letter back as long as you include your address. We probably get a thousand or so letters every year and respond to every one of them! I work there so I know it to be true.

Santa Claus lives in Indiana?!?! Wow! Did not know that! I must make it a point to visit him and inquire as to where all my Christmas presents went during my childhood. :rant:
 
My daughter got her letter in the mail from Santa Claus yesterday- she was super excited! He even thanked her for thinking of her baby brother for Christmas. Very cute!
 
Yeah somehow if your kid sees Indiana they'll probably figure something's up.
 
My niece got hers today in the mail. It looked handwritten. It was a very nice letter and the envelope was cute too. I sent off for one for my daughter but she hasn't gotten hers yet.

If they can read and understand what Indiana is ~ they are too old for santa anyhow.
