Redbox is currently giving out 1 free movie rental if you sign up to their email list or sms list.

These kiosks are all over the place, particularly at McDonalds and grocery stores, etc (Walgreens, Albertsons, etc).

And a new thing they have now is RESERVE ONLINE... so on Friday during lunch you can reserve your rental for that night and get the movie you really wanted... not that other one. :teeth:

do you still have to have a credit card when you go? I have never tried this so just wanted to know any details about it before hand

I think this was posted a while ago. When you sign up at their website, you can sign up for free movies every Mon. They text you the code to your mobile phone.

Reserving online isn't new either, but it's nice because it will show you which locations have the movie you want. The only thing is you can't use your codes when you order online.

They also sell older movies for $7. You don't get all the packaging, just on of the Redbox dvd holders. But for the price..who cares?

The above codes can only be used once on your account. And I think, not sure, but I'm pretty sure you can use a debit card if you don't have a credit card.

(We're big Redbox fans at our house. Can you tell? It's awesome for the kids!)

BTW-if you didn't know...regular rentals are only $1 a day. Up to like 24 days and then you keep the movie.
