The use of the word "recovery" does not refer to a person's recovery from alcoholism or other substance abuse. Rather, it refers to the regaining of matters of biblical truth, Christian experience, and church practice that have been lost over time because of misunderstanding, mistranslation, or misinterpretation under the influences of history, tradition, and even religion.

Thanks, Rain!:) I have a copy of this and it is very helpful!:claps:

FYI, these New Testaments come from a group called "The Local Church", an organization founded by "Witness Lee". This volume is their "specially translated" version of the Bible, similar to Jehovah's Witnesses or the LDS.

Dear Friend, If you recently contacted CBH Ministries to ask for free Children’s Bibles as a result of an ad posted on various internet sites, we are responding to that request. I’m sorry that we cannot honor your request; we don’t offer free Children’s Bibles. The ad you saw linking to our website was misleading and was posted without our knowledge or permission.

We apologize for any disappointment to you, and we hope that you will take time to visit us at www.cbhministries.org; we would love to introduce you to our ministry aimed at reaching children and families with the gospel of Jesus Christ through the materials we produce in audio, print and internet.

I received this in the mail yesterday. Thanks again!

Thanks for the heads up

That is very disappointing to hear. My mother's family are Jehovah's Witnesses, so I understand how misleading this cult is. How did you find out about this?

I just spent a few minutes skimming over that website, and I didn't see anything that even mentions the words Jehovah's Witness, or says anything out of the ordinary to make me think this is linked to their belief.
