Free Oak or Spruce Tree for Arbor Day from Briggs & Stratton

I like how they have the "Mower Tune-Up Time" logo above the form. As soon as I saw that I thought about chopping down the new tree I will plant. lol

Thanks for the tip. We just built a house so we're looking to plant some trees. Free ones are always good.

hmm. good question, the4starish. i think it depends. would you want a evergreen tree or deciduous one?

can people who already received theirs let us know exactly what kind of oak & spruce trees these are. thanks =)

Awesome! :claps:

Ok, apparently, that's a deciduous tree (loses leaves in fall/winter). It also grows 2 feet/year to be over 60 feet tall!

I got a Red Oak and a Colorado Blue Spruce. I'll be planting them tomorrow :) Hopefully the hurricane won't make it's way to PA or my trees might not make it

Good luck, and we hope your family and house (and new trees) are safe! :)

The trees come in a small cardboard tube. The small rootball is wrapped in plastic. The seedlings are about 9 inches tall and have about 4 - 6 leaves on them.

Woohoo!!!! Got mine today. Now I just have to decide where to plant it.

man, these trees grow out too big for my front and back yard space... and darn, they only send one per household....I was going to get some for my relatives..

I took special care of my little Oak tree for 6 weeks. At one time some sort of animal ate some of the leaves. Then just the other day something gnawed the little trunk right off at the bottom and it died. :( We have squirrels, rabbits, chipmunks and Ground Hogs in our yard. I will fortify my next tree in chicken wire!!!
