Just to note b/c I rec'd a rep w/comment on the hotel --- the room shown above is one of their starlight rooms (skylights / starlights)... not all the rooms are like that. Most are named after and themed after the wine country. They have pix of the other rooms on the website. It's located in the heart of Portland & you can walk to most places easily. I also believe some famous ppl stay there when they perform... I actually rode down the elevator with Jessica Simpson & her then hubby Nick Lachey :eyebrows: when we were staying there Aug 2003. (We were there for the Last Chance Summer Dance concert, flown out by a local radio station in PA. Got a pic w/Jess... I'm not sure why I didn't get one w/Nick too... but I did get his autograph for me and hers for my brother). :tongue:
Anyway, it's a cool hotel & I totally recommend both Portland & the hotel for people looking to travel this summer. (I also found, for those interested, a hotel out there that has some unusual room 'packages'... one has a tattoo package b/c apparently portland is known for their tattoo artists, another pkg at the same hotel is for lovers and has some.. uh.. goodies. I think it was something like the 'kiss' room/package. I thought it was a neat idea and am considering staying 1 night there w/my hubby just for the experience.)
