Thank you for your interest in becoming a recipe tester for Cook's Country. The Friends of Cook's program is designed to help the test kitchen identify what works and what can be improved in recipes prior to publication. As a volunteer in this program, you will have an exclusive preview of what the kitchen is working on for upcoming issues. You can expect to receive a recipe to test approximately once a week. You are never under any obligation to make a recipe. If you are unable to make a recipe for any reason, you can simply skip it. There will always be other recipes to test. Generally, we ask that you make the recipe and comment on it within 1-2 weeks, but we always consider comments after the deadline, as we continually return to testers' feedback. Also, please be aware that we are testing recipes 6 months in advance. Therefore, our recipes can often call for fruits and vegetables that are out of season, grilling in January, or heavy oven use in the summer. But again, we realize that this presents a number of restrictions and understand that testers will choose recipes that are practical for them.
