Free Ringtone Downloads for AT&T Wireless (Formerly Cingular)

A&T brings customers holiday cheer with free music and entertainment on wireless phones
» AT&T offering free ringtones, Answer Tones and a new holiday game, plus gift cards that are perfect for last-minute shoppers
November 29, 2007
AT&T Inc. announced today a number of holiday offerings that wireless customers can take advantage of throughout the season, including free downloads of holiday ringtones, Answer Tones, a new mobile game and Tone E-Cards, a fun gift for friends and family that's easy to purchase and send.

The holiday ringtones and Answer Tones are available from AT&T free of charge and include: Ringtones
Jingle Bells
The Dreidel Song
Noche de Paz

Answer Tones Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree by Cyndi Lauper
Wizards in Winter by Trans-Siberian Orchestra
Feliz Navidad by Jose Feliciano

Games Santa's Tower Bloxx by Digital Chocolate
"This time of year is traditionally one of the most popular for music and entertainment downloads," said Mark Collins, vice president of Consumer Data for AT&T's wireless unit. "AT&T is excited to offer free and festive holiday favorites for customers to enjoy throughout the season."

To obtain the free offer, customers must simply send a text message with the word GIFT to the number 7230.

They will receive a text message with a link to download their free tone or game. Normal data usage charges apply during download, based on the customer's data plan.
Anyone with an AT&T wireless phone can use a Tone E-Card, which make great last-minute gifts. The Tone E-Cards, valued at $9.99 or $19.99, can be ordered online at http://www.att.com/tonecard. After the receiver gets an e-mail alert with their PIN code, they can shop for ringtones or graphics at MEdia Mall and redeem their gift by entering the eight-digit code in the Coupon/Tone Card Code field on the Ringtone or Graphic Purchase page.

i made the deal more concise. to get the free holiday ringtones.

When you copy & paste information from another source (espicially a long one like that), you typically quote the source otherwise it is considered plagiarism.

I was able to read your post clearly, thanks. However, since I don't have a text plan on my phone your shortened directions are N/A. If I could find the source of the information, I may be able to read up on other options on how to get the ringtones without being charged for text messages. If it came in an email, I am curious as to why some got the email and I didn't (AT&T customer). Those two, and many other reasons are why I asked a simple question- what is the original source?

My plan is though a corporate account so maybe that is why I got the email but anyways here is an alternative that I figured out to bypass the text message.

Point your phones browser to the following website: attfreetone.com

that will bring you to the page where you can download the free tones onto your phone.

Hope this helps!

TY! I don't have net and will have to pay for that too LOL but way or the other I will try it!

Do they sound nice, or are they crappy midi's? Kind of another reason I was hoping I could find the link, hoping I could hear samples before I downloaded. ;) Thanks for your help!

There is a $.99 subscription for the answer tones. Plus when I downloaded there was a notice that there is only 23 hour left to download.
