I am serious....I've been sheetrocking for years....you definitely need to use tape for your butt joints and schmooze it with lots of joint compound with a large knife so you don't see the dimples.

Here's another tip: when repairing light colored wall, you can add just a hint of food coloring so that when the compound dries you can see where it needs extra smoothing more easily....;)


Now, have you experienced any nail heads poking through?

Yes as a matter of fact, I can see a couple of nails poking thru my living room wall so please do tell precocious! It'll give the old ball and chain a project this weekend :)
