beware of quinine, my father used it for leg cramps ,as did alot of my elderly pt.s, when he had a stroke we took him to the ER and the first thing the doctor asked is did he take quinine for leg cramps when my mom said yes the doctor said that this certain type of brain bleed has been attributed to quinine, OMG, my dad died from takeing leg cramp meds and they still RX it. there are class action law suits againsts this med. google it and see, please dont use it. dont want to lose anyone ealse.:verysad:

Thanks for the warning! I'm truly sorry to hear about your dad. They have some nerve to keep it out on the market. :mmph: My grandmother has leg cramps and I was going to order it for her.....needless to say I won't now. :worry:

There is tons more info out there on QUININE. Please be ware!!!! In the *old* days it was allso used to induce labor and cause abortions.. what pregnant woman does not suffer some leg cramping.. I took it un aware while pregnant and lost my baby.. the dr asked me later if I was taking anything OTC.... when I told him what I was taking he said that was most likly the reason why I misscarried. Please be warned...

by itself there are no issues, together with either OTC or RX can cause problems...just be careful
