Free Delivery For a limited time, OfficeMax.com is offering FREE Delivery on nearly all online purchases – no minimum order is required! Bulky or heavy items such as some furniture may not qualify for free delivery. You will be contacted prior to delivery if any fee applies. Free shipping offer is not valid on purchases made through the 1-800 catalog phone/fax number or in retail stores. Free shipping offer is not available on deliveries to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Offer can not be used for OfficeMax.com Specialty Shops selections, including Downloadable Software, Art and Framing, Wireless/DSL services, Digital Bookstore eBooks and Business Services. Not applicable to upgraded CopyMax shipping. Some items may have special delivery options associated with them. Other orders are shipped via most efficient means.
After you submit your online order, you will receive an email confirmation with shipment details and delivery dates. Please note that receipts for online and catalog orders reflect an order date based on Eastern Time.
Items shipped directly from distributors may have varying lead times based on delivery location, items ordered and distributor shipping practices. Your order may arrive in more than one shipment. The total amount shown in your shopping cart may show up as several different transactions on your credit card statement depending on ship date.
Expected delivery times are based on in-stock items ordered before 5 p.m. local time. During checkout, we will check availability based on your ship-to zip code. If an item is out-of-stock, we will tell you on the ITEM ADDED page before you submit your order. It is possible that even if an item is designated as "in-stock" at the time the order is submitted, it may still switch to backorder status later due to orders being placed concurrently by multiple customers. In this instance, you will be notified. Expected delivery times are based on delivery locations within our local trade areas (within 20 miles of an OfficeMax store). APO, FPO and Off-Shore customers, please see special notice below.
Expected Delivery Times
1 Business Day OfficeMax Stocked Items
Most items ordered before 5 p.m. local time are delivered the next business day from OfficeMax Delivery Centers.
24-48 Hours - Ship OfficeMax Document Express orders will ship within 24-48 hours. Orders are delivered within 3-5 business days.
24-48 Hours - Pickup OfficeMax Document Express orders are available at the OfficeMax store you selected within 24-48 hours.
1-3 Business Days Direct from Distributor (Third Party) Items
Special order supply items are shipped directly from our distributor and are delivered in 1 business day via UPS or FedEx.
3-7 Business Days Some special order and furniture products are shipped directly from our distributor and are delivered in 3-7 business days. Additional charges may apply.
5-7 Business Days CopyMax custom printed products are shipped directly and are delivered in 5-7 business days.
7-14 Business Days Furniture which does not require assembly shipped directly from our distributor.
14-21 Business Days Furniture which requires assembly and includes MaxChoice delivery is shipped directly from our distributor. You will be contacted to set up an installation appointment for delivery within 14-21 days.
Pickup CopyMax File Submission orders are available at the OfficeMax store you selected within 24-48 hours. You will be called when your order is complete. Balance is due at pickup.
Ship CopyMax File Submission orders will ship within 24-48 hours. Shipping time will be 5-7 business days. A CopyMax Associate will contact you for payment.
CBO Items whose delivery or status code is CBO are backordered. If that happens the available items in your order will be shipped immediately and backordered items will be shipped within 14 days. If the product does not become available within that time, you will be notified.
Weekends, Holidays, Late Hours Orders placed on weekends, holidays and after 5 p.m. local time on Monday through Friday will be processed the following business day. Business days are defined as Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
All Deliveries Deliveries will be made between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. Not sure if you will be at your home or office when your OfficeMax.com order will be delivered? In most cases, by completing a Delivery Release Form and leaving it where a driver can collect it, your order can be left at your door. If there is a delay in shipping your merchandise, we will contact you.
APO & FPO Orders will be shipped via U.S. mail. Additional postage charges will be applied.
Off-shore customers (Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands): Items indicating three-day delivery or longer will take six to eight weeks for delivery due to distance and shipping priority.
