Can anyone help me out with this?

I really want Windows Server 2003

This is great! I've been taking programming classes, and I can't wait to get home and download VS 2005 and 2008. Yay!

Interesting. I've been out of school for 2 and a half years now, but my student id login for UW still works.

hmm... my school's listed but the login system isn't working. *sigh* Oh well, I guess I'll cut my school some slack since it's the first day this is available. I actually think it's kind of funny. I mean, most college students who wanted this stuff would probably downloaded it illegally to begin with. I guess Microsoft just wants to cut down on piracy LOL Well, then again, the express versions have been free for a long time anyway, so maybe not.

I also think it's funny that I would probably get a TOS violation from my University if I downloaded some of these programs in my dorm over their network in one sitting.

Thanks for the deal!

thanks I forwarded it to my college student

Nothing like free and legal software. Thanks a bunch.

My college already gives out these programs for free along with XP, Microsoft Office 2007 and other programs.

Wow, your tuition must be ridiculously expensive!

My school wasn't listed so I sent to the link provided in such a circumstance to get verified. I said that ther would be no charge. So, I went through the process (web pages were sloooooow to load) and then at the end, it said that verification was $2.95!!! And, they wanted my name, social security number, and birthdate to check and see if my info was in the database!!! Can you say identity theft? Now, if my university is not listed, why in the hell would my personal information be in their database? I think this may be somewhat of a fraud to collect data on people. I will pass on this one.

This is one of those times I wish I were a student again. C'est la vie.

Wise choice....:claps:

A multibillion dollar company like Microsoft is not going to risk everything to perpetrate identity fraud. I think this is one offer you don't have to worry about.

It depends. I went to the University of Washington (obviously a public institution, and therefore relatively inexpensive), and any student taking a Computer Science class got to download legal copies of XP and other MS software. Of course, it helps that Microsoft is only several miles away :)

read a little further... you do not have to do the $2.95 verification... you can choose to pass. then all they want you to do is send a scan of a dated student ID that contains your pic.. you can either email it for fax it in.. i just scanned it and emailed it.. 2-3 days later i got approved
