My husband received an Honorable Discharge from the military after serving 3 tours in Viet Nam. He left as a 1st Lieutenant and was proud to serve his country until he started seeing things over there that weren't quite right. If he knew I was writing this he would be very upset because when he arrived back in the country all he had to meet him at the airport were people screaming and yelling at the returning GI's. I won't repeat what they were yelling but I am sure a lot of you know. I respect my husband for his choice to volunteer to serve and conduct himself as an honorable person while he was there and for not condoning in his men any breaking of the rules. But since returning and the greeting(?) he received at the airport he does not want to even admit he served his country and refuses to take advantage of anything that they might have to offer.

lil obie my uncle felt the same way. He felt that the people in the USA did not repect or appreciate what the men and women who serve or had seved did for the country. He was a WWII vetern who was shot 3 times and got the Purple Heart. His son serve in Viet Nam on the DMZ. It truely make me sad the way some people treat the men and women who serve or have seved in the military. I personal would like to say THANK YOU to your husband and my God Bless him for want he did for all of us. Men have seved in the military in my family since WWI, maybe even in the Civil War.

Thank you Crazycatlady very much and I too want to thank your relatives for helping to keep this country of ours a FREE country because as we all should know Freedom is not free and it's the people that serve that deserve all the thanks and prayers. It is a thankless job and only people that have family members or know of people that serve really know what they go through when they come back. I am a peaceful person and wish every disagreement with another Country could be settled peacefully but I have come to realize that is not always the case. Thanks again and God bless you and yours.

Take advantage of these offers.. you have earned them!
