This is really nice for folks like me who use tracfone, I don't pay for incoming text, but I do for outgoing and this makes it free! I've tried it out and it works as fast as using my cell so I really like it. If youre a braver soul then me, you can even link a "text me" button on your web page and folks can txt your cell.

T-mobile not free to receive txt msgs.

Unfortunately,

My T-mobile carrier charges $.10 for incoming & outgoing text messages.

Bummer!!! :thumbs_do :( :thumbs_do

When I text from the TMobile website, I believe it doesn't cost me anything. It just states that the receiver will pay text messaging rates. Allthough now that I think about it, you can only do it from the website to other TMobile phones.

You could always send text messages to mobile devices through MSN Messenger... They're free to send and the person on the receiving end just pays the same as they would for a normal text. It's especially nice if you know someone who has unlimited texts!

i sent it to my cell and i replied and it didnt go through♣

You can text cell phone users using the AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) also. Just add a + sign in front of their number, for instance

+12124304567 and it will go to their phone and most newer phones can actually reply. I actually prefer using this at home because it's faster to type on a keyboard.

This is good to know about. Thanks!
