Usually you get some sort of pine tree. I got this last year and it was too cold to put it in the ground so I put it in a pot. I nurtured it all winter inside of our house and in the spring, I put the pot outside. I was going to get around to planting it in the near future...

...until a bunny or a squirrel or some other animal came and ate it clean off at the stem. Grrrr....

( I need a smilie where someone is squashing any type of small mammal to make an impact here... why didn't we get any of those when dehawk was around?)

So... you may not get this at prime planting season and no... they are not hardy!
 
Thanks, I got the tree from them 2 years ago, and its still alive. I was a small oak.
