Free Ubuntu Sticker

Too bad I'm not an Ubuntu fan :(

Sweet. I don't use Ubuntu that often, but have tried it and was pretty impressed at all the work that went into it.

I need more stickers to decorate my laptop. Looks like you've found another for me!

I've been running Ubuntu on this laptop for a while now so why not put a sticker on it. It is a little reflective Windows sticker on it that is so worn all the printing is gone except for a faded logo. That address is only about 9 miles away from where I am now, should drive over and see who is there.

I put up some free Ubuntu stickers and no one even contacted me for them...no charge to you whatsoever. Too bad I tossed them after holding on to them for a year.

Maybe people thought it was a trap and didn't trust you? :P

Oh wow, same thing happened with those 3 extra wrist watches I had. I eventually had to throw them out too.

Jerry, Just started using Ubuntu and seems ok. What are you a fan of?

(other than the command line that is ;)

I have been using PC Linux OS for a few years now. It has the KDE desktop and runs Compiz that I really like.

The main thing I don't like about Ubuntu is the Gnome desktop. I gave Kubuntu a shot once but had install problems.

The thing that first impressed me with PCLOS (after using Suse and Mandriva for a while) was that it installed and everything worked for me.

I recently played with MintOS (which is a fork of Ubuntu) in a virtual box and thought it felt good, solid and put together well. If I were to ever become disenchanted with PCLOS and wanted to get comfortable with Gnone I'd probably run MintOS.

I also tried Windows 7 Ultimate in the virtual box to see if I might upgrade my Windows XP wife. I wasn't impressed. There is nothing there that she would ever make use of. Too bad she doesn't like Linux (she struggles with the unlike-windows-file-structure) because some day XP updates will stop and I'll be forced to upgrade her anyhow.

Why is this rated "hot?"

It's a free sticker. oooh!
