Florida Watermelon To Be Featured During Wal-Mart 'Fantastic Four' Promotion Nationwide On June 25
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services has teamed up with Wal-Mart and the Produce for Better Health Foundation to encourage children to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables for a healthier lifestyle.

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is providing free samples of fresh Florida watermelon, a traditional summertime favorite, in Florida and Georgia Wal-Mart Supercenter produce sections during the June 25 event.

During the Wal-Mart event, children will receive an activity book that includes kid-friendly recipes. Parents will receive the “5 A Day The Color Way” guide, which introduces them to the benefits of choosing a variety of health-promoting fruits and vegetables from each of the five color groups, and provides other helpful information including a serving size guide.
