On Tuesday, Nov. 18, Check Point Software will offer the ZoneAlarm Pro software package for free for 24 hours, in celebration of Check Point's 15th anniversary, a company spokeswoman said Friday.

ZoneAlarm Pro, which contains a firewall, antispyware, and ID protection service (including credit monitoring) normally costs $39.95. The download location for the free ZoneAlarm Pro package will go live at 6 AM PDT on Tuesday morning.

The free offer includes a one year's subscription. Check Point charges the price of the software ($39.95) for a year's subscription.

"This is in celebration of Check Point celebrating its 15th anniversary when it created Firewall-1 for the enterprise," the Check Point representative said.

When does this activate? It says 6AM PDT, but what is PDT?

FYI

my user registration email came to my inbox shortly after i signed up, but the email with the download link and the license key went to my spam folder.

i am using gmail. so if any of you gmail users have not gotten you download and license email yet you may want to check your spam folder.

download worked fine. have not installed yet...

It now says you will get an email with link and license within 48 hours as the site is being inundated - so put my name forward LOL
 
Signed up late last nite - email came thru 6:30PM today.

not gonna happen for me...it screwed up my puter so bad it took all night last night getting it back off! do a search under zone alarm pro issues and you will see what I should have read before I installed it :( :28:
 
just found my email this morning, was sent at 6:35 pm last nite. both links in the email don't work. think i'm gonna give up n this one. have heard about a few problems with zone alarm pro. thanks
