there is another catch, You need to create an account and then go to my account-> my products -> download CD

Oh wow, I just "bought" the software, and I'm #166 in line to download the product I just bought!

Seems like they have a great downloading system.

Oh well, I guess it's still worth trying. Let's see how fast it moves.

I read an article about them which said that they were a pretty amateur act, and it seems like they are. However, I'm just interested to get a feel for the new Lindows thing, and if it's free, legally, why not? I've moved down from about 166 to 143, may take about a half an hour or so.
 
I'm just waiting for the download to start a 550MB file at 50k/sec, I'll be angry, haha.

Oh well, free is better than 60 bucks. I wonder if Lindows supports dual-boot?
 
Don't know. I'm going to use it with VMware. I'm #58 in line now.
 
Now that I think of it, it's probably overloaded because of this free deal, so I doubt it's normally like this.
 
I used lindows in its first version, paid the 90 bucks to get it back then to use for a final in my networking class. Its cool, I'll be interested to hear how its doing now.. back then i couldnt get office to load or any other windows programs for that matter.. but you could network it etc.. its been over a year, so should be a good product by now.

I left it up and running while I was downstairs with my girlfriend, more than a couple hours, at least. I started out in place 650 or so and I'm now in 196. This is impossible. When I first tried to download it, I was in place 166 or so, then it got screwed up because I went away from the PC, not sure what happened. All I want is just to get a download running!
