Take a pic off the front page and have fun with it.

Just save the front page picture on your PC and then use MS paint to open and make the picture, then save and upload it to tinypic.com and post.

I know how to do it, just for some reason when I post the link in the img brackets it doesnt show up as a graphic, only as a link. Prolly something inside the gallery module (which I never configured) on my site prevents such linking.

Just uplaod it to tinypic, it should work

1: Right click on image you want to use and save it to computer.
2: Right click on image on the computer and open it with paint.
3: Do whatever you want to the image and save.
4. go to tinypic dot com and browse for the image you made and click upload.
5. copy the link that starts with .
6. Paste it in a message here.

Done

Okay, people, Im actually very computer oriented. I know how to copy, cut, save, paste, use paint, photoshop, pagemaker, etc. I really dont need instructions, Im not going to upload stuff to some third party server when I have my own. I dont use photobucket, tinypic, etc. I have no need for them aside from to post here and honestly, thats not all that important. If it doesnt show up, it doesnt show up. No biggie.

Why not just copy the image, open paint, and paste it? Save yourself a step. Theres no need to save it to your HD.

Where is your image linky, I think your image linky should should be file name, Mr. spoofee san might have added URL filtering to avoid issues.

Because that extra step is going to take a lot more work in the long end, and it is easier for people that don't know how to do it.

And why not save bandwidth/space on your server and use another server for free?

Why not use apostrophes?

Why do you care?

Why do you like squids?

Why do you have a snake for an avatar?

In the end, let's just say my pictures our showing up :bigok:

I dont follow how copying instead of saving is an extra step (its actually one step less), or how it would cause more work in the long run but whatever, thats neither here nor there.

200K isnt gonna hurt my server space, and I have unlimited bandwidth (or at least it sure feels that way) so I would rather keep my stuff in my gallery so I can get to it anytime I like and it wont be deleted without my knowlege, etc.

apostrophes just take too much time. But sometimes I use them so you can tell the diff between were and we're, etc.

I dont care (like there was ever doubt ;)), I was just curious.

Try this.

Assuming (based on previous CMS question)that you already have a S/FTP client on your desktop to upload files and all.

create a folder inside your public_html directory , say "Junk"
upload the picture to Junk directory

then you can use the image tag.
your_image_file
