Cheap Board

I happened to look at that ECS board at Fry's a couple weeks back. The salesperson said it had the highest return rate of all their motherboards.

The only positive is that it is the ONLY Intel Duo compatible board they had that would take an AGP video card. But, that is also a sign that AGP is nearly dead.

AGP is gasping for air. If you're buying a new mobo, go PCIe

its not a bad deal if you can get it. the cheapest i found the chip online is 180 + tax/shipping

I think I should point out that this cpu is the E4300, not to be confused with the E6300.

The Mobo is crappy but will do in the short term. You can always replace it with something better later. The only major issue with this deal is that it comes WITHOUT a CPU fan so tack on another $20 or so for a cheap fan at the least...
