While they may help the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, they don't celebrate Christmas (but they celebrate Halloween). Can't say that I'll shop at any one of these places again. I have no problem with supporting charities, but taking the reason out of the season is going too far...

After the latest "holiday ad" I am staying away from The Gap and its other brands this year. ""Go Christmas, Go Hanukkah, Go Kwanzaa, Go Solstice..." what a bunch of idiots.

Wow, God forbid we actually acknowledge that the main reason people are shopping for gifts this time of year is because of Christmas. Sorry, but I don't think retailers would be racking up 30%-40% of their annual sales in Q4 because of Kwanzaa shopping. So no, we don't have to pay homage to the atheists or druids or others who might also exchange gifts on Christmas without celebrating the birth of Christ. It's not their frickin' holiday. Likewise, I don't care if a store wants to have a giant Ramadan or Yom Kippur sale. Doesn't offend me. Go nuts. But until the stores are packed with last-minute shoppers on Kwanzaa Eve, or Winter Solstice eve, stores should at least have the decency to acknowledge the point of the season.

Well, I was really happy to be able to use this coupon. I got gifts for my brothers and coworkers for $110 total, saving about $50. I don't really expect retail stores to represent my religious beliefs so I just shop where ever.
