Garmin StreetPilot C320 GPS System for $199.99 Shipped

though a great price, I'd still recommend spend the extra $100 or so and get the C330 AT THE MINIMUM. Having the full map of US/North America pre-loaded into the unit makes a HUGE difference in overall ease of use and overall effectiveness of the unit.

what's missing from this model?

compared w/ the c330? i've long been in the market for one. and this deal looks good, price-wise. but performance-wise? thanks.

Unless you plan to do a cross country road trip without a laptop there is no reason I can think of that you need the whole US on it at once. I can fit three states on the card and I cant go that far without taking a break anyway.

I use it primarily around where I live. For me its perfect. When I went to albuquerque I loaded New Mexico onto my card, put my unit in my carryon and when I got there, I was set.

Plus, you can probably get a card large enough to hold all the maps for less than $100.

The whole US will fit on a 2GB SD Card. I just picked up a Kingston 150X 2GB SD Card at Fry's for $10 AR last week.

Is that the only difference between the two models (C320 and C330)? That one comes pre-loaded with the maps?

Do you know if this is the model that can search for nearby restaurants, gas stations, etc.?

yes, that's the only difference. the 320 is a much better value for the computer literate

(or as long as you're able to download and upload things to and from your computer like a digital camera)

The only difference between the 320 and the 330 is the 330 has the hard drive with the maps pre-installed. Well, that and the price. The 320 has POI just like the 330.

This looks like a cool gadget. I was considering getting one for myself, but now my new car has a NAV built-in, i'm thinkin of getting one for my wife's car. Question: how to it mount it so it doesnt fly around? How do you keep people from stealing it? Do you have to remove it every time you go to a public parking?

BTW, can you order it when it's out of stock? I dont mind getting it next month as long as I get 1st dibbs.

It comes with a suction mount for putting on the windshield. There snt really a way to keep people from stealing it aside from hiding it or bringing it in with you. The unit detaches from the suction mount very easily. I just store mine in the armrest console.

I dont know about about the ordering oos items. Try it and let us know.

there is also a friction mount for the c3xx series GPS that sits solidly on the dash, I bought one so that I can just take the whole thing and plop it on the dash of any car I'm driving in and go :)

Does that really work? I always think its gonna go flying when I make a sharp turn.

would the deal be available at fry stores?

I would suggest calling them to find out.

I also got the

message when I logged in to try and track the item, but when I called Fry's they assured me that the item had in fact been shipped. They gave me a DHL tracking number to confirm, and it's supposed to be delivered on Monday. So just because it says its sold out doesn't necessarily mean you're not going to get it...

You can order the OOS item...just add to cart. you just have to wait till their shipment comes in for them to ship it to you. If in doubt, just call them to order it. my friend and I both ordered ours online with the est ship date of 3/9...I can wait! this price is awesome!

I just purchased one. Good deal :)

Here's my question: It appears as though this doesn't come with an AC adapter, so how do I charge this thing without getting in the car? Can it charge through the USB connection?
