Get both 52x24x52 and 48x24x48 CD-RW drives FREE & make

Why just settle for one? Khypermedia 48x24x48 drive is FAR at OfficeMax this week, but it's an OKAY drive. 60-45MIR-20MIR=0.00
Add it to your shopping cart

Then add Cendyne 52x24x52 drive (GREAT drive made by Lite-On) 79.99-30 MIR -30MIR =19.99
Sub-total 149.99

Add some FAR item from this week's add to make total over 150.00
Use 30 off 150 coupon and get both drivers for FREE as well as FAR item for FREE PLUS MAKE $10.00, which should cover your tax. Ships free!

I ordered it last night, and started to realize that this is a Great deal!

How did you order the Khypermedia? I can't find it online.

I just checked the OM wesite, and it only shows one $30 MIR for the Cendyne drive. Where did you see the other one, or is this the wrong item#? Item #20214313.

You have to click on product link and you'll see 2 rebates for Cendyne drive.

Quick!!!! Khypermedia drive is back in OM website. Todayday is the last day to order it to get rebate!!!!

To whose who are wondering:

That's what came inside my khypermedia box. It wasn't a benq, those have little dashes/indentations all along the bottom, I'm quite familiar with them after spraying 4-5 coats of autobody paint one the faceplate of one of them. All the benqs have this on the front.

This is the drive...the raised area that incorporates the volume control and headphone is unique. For me, this is most definitely the drive save for the different RW speed.

Okay, decided to find some reviews on the 48x16x48 model of the msi drive, here:

http://www.cdrlabs.com/reviews/index.php?reviewid=139

Okay, so it's "based" on a benq drive, but that's not exactly the same as BEING a benq drive that would use benq firmware. Or is it?

Seems to be an oem benq, it's benq-light :)

Found someone on FW who referenced a good thread on this drive here:

Wouldn't you want to turn your recently obtained Khypermedia 48x drive FREE from Office Max into 52x drive with one click of a mouse?
Well..., now you can! With a firmware upgrade.

THIS IS AMAZING!

First of all, make sure the box shows firmware C.FZ. The drive is made by BENQ. Go to www.benq.com and download firmware upgrade under CD-RD firmware for 5224W (filename is ffz.exe). Let it run in the Windows interface, WAIT until it finishes completely and displayes new firmware (F.FZ). THAT"S IT!!!!

Go to Nero and your drive is now 52x24x52, burns with a speed of light AND now supports Mount Rainer.

Now, what do you all think about them apples?! :D :D :D :D

Yeah...know about that..not interested. I never was much of an overclocker of anything, and even then, an extra 4x isn't worth it to me. The only time I'll flash the firmware is for liteons, simply because doing so and making them into a standard liteon allows more programs to accurately identify and use the drive.

For free crap I won't be keeping, I could care less.
