Get Ready for Gruesome Cigarette Warnings

I'll just put them in the nice leather carrying thing and vwalaaa, no pictures, heh heh

Makes me happy I was able to quit those (almost 4 months now),

Good for you! I'm going on 40 years. It takes less than a year until the craving of the drug abates as I recall.
It's a little like finding religion - you want to share your new life with everyone. Unfortunately too many people don't see the light and the drug is insidious enough that they think it isn't going to hurt THEM.
Very sad.

I highly doubt this will change people's minds about smoking

I think you're right. The individual has to decide to no longer be the effect of the drug. The oddest thing to me is how convinced smokers try to explain how they enjoy it. Any drug addict will say the same thing. Odder yet, to me, is the women who smoke, who are visibly quite vane and who deny that it makes them look about 10 years older. I can understand this when you are 13 but when you are 30?

My pet peeve is smokers who whine about being broke all the time. Don't complain about being poor if your throwing your money away on cigarettes. Just my little rant. :argh:

someone needs to hurry up and slap a pic of a fat belly on this bag of chips i'm devouring right now. :pound:

well i smoke and i still get carded because they think i am 19 and I am 34.
So, I guess it depends on the person. And yes I plan on quitting some day but I am not going to be forced into it.

I'm not broke, LOL..

It;
's no different then wasting your money on fast food, coffee (which is a drug) going to the movies, buying expensive clothing.

Everyone has a bad habit and everyone spends money on something they don't need.

...

I waste money all the time on things (coffee included)...but I don't complain about being broke either. I think Sharon meant she is tired of the complaining in and of itself.

Hey, I am tired of people complaining too. There's no reason for it... If you don't like something change it.:teeth:

ex-act-ly! :) Although, that being said...I'm gonna have to get my Starbucks frappucino tomorrow. hee hee hee.

I think it's a little different. The statistics are much lower on people dying from eating fast food (unless they are fat because of it - see "save the whales" thread), coffee, going to the movies or shopping. (naturally this will invite many jokes)

:hmmmm: You have a point Jerry, I've never heard of anyone getting lung cancer from expensive clothing or going to the movies....unless of course, they were smoking at the time.

What do you mean I have a point? :conehead:

Sh*&....I had my delicious no-cal Starbucks java chip frappucino yesterday while driving through Charlotte....and my husband found joy in the fact that he found smudges of chocolate all over the steering wheel. He wasn't supposed to know of my indulgence, but do you know how hard it is to get those last little globs of chocolate chips out from under the whipped cream at the bottom of the cup????? :faint: :pound:

Jerry, you really need to wrap that thing.....:blushing:
