Temp set printer to finest mode 4 better chance it will scan.
Use automated self checkout where available (like Albertsons).
RiteAid corp policy is 2 accept: insist with store manager.
Always be polite & friendly. Make smalltalk.
Pull out your Drivers License & tell them it's legit from manufacturer & not crazy internet site & they can write your details from DL on back of coup 2 trace u if it's a fraud (they never write it & this always worked 4 me).
Best cashiers to pick: youngest females; youngest males; youngest non caucasians (in this order is generally least hassle in my experience).
I put most of this in another thread, but wanted this with new Subject.
Other technique I don't think I mentioned before is: Often they ask "Is this an internet coupon" (because maybe someone told them not to accept or to call manager if it is. With all request some (not all) cashiers are really dumb. So answer: No. Then add: It's not from the internet, -the company emailed it to me, OR it's not from internet places, -it's from the manufacturer. (Key here is they just think the word INTERNET. When you say no & move them to a different word then nobody told them not to accept that!; pathetic statement about our Education system & average worker @ this level, but true).
It's unbelievable how last point works 80% of the time EVEN when they need to manually enter the unscanable #s!
