I know there are a few companies out there that pay you to drive your car with their advertisement on it, or that give you a car of theirs just to drive around.

Does anyone know of where to apply or what websites to visit for these types of businesses? I have found a few online but they're the "pay us and we'll be a gateway to these services" just like the mystery shopping thing. But behind all that scam stuff there were legit mystery shopper sites, so I was hoping maybe someone here would know of a Paid to Drive site.

Thanks in advance

Ya know this is the first I've heard of this type of thing. If you find out any more info pass it on to us. :)

After reading on a particular site or magazine (already forgotten), my wife signed up at freecarmedia several months ago due to her daily commute and exposure to traffic. They have an option for free car if you choose. No company has inquired, though. They seem to be legit, even to the Privacy Policy.

It doesn't hurt to try, YMMV depending on your demography, I guess.
Here's the link: http://drivers.freecarmedia.com

Please do inform back here if you're chosen.

Every site that requires advanced payment doesn't seem legit to me. How about if you pay me for giving this info ;)

thanks for the response guys :)

Some of the websites charge you like $29 to apply. That's probably info you could get for free.

so did your wife get a car from freecarmedia?

i would assume these are all scams to take your money for applying. nothing is for free. think about it, why would a company give you a car so you can get into an accident, kill someone or get injured driving their car and sue them. the only thing that may be legit is if they pay you to put some advertising on the door of your own car and that you insure your own car, eg, like that pyramid scheme mary kay

Freecarmedia is truly free to signup. I believe they will check your driving history and perhaps credit if you're chosen. They have 2 options: they'll wrap your car and pay you $$$; or they give you a car but you don't get $$$. You're responsible for your own gas, however.
Check the FAQ for insurance, accident, maintenance, etc, at:

I'll drive Ferrari and advertise the hell out of it if anyone is willing to get me one (I won't crush it in Malibu, I promise).
