"A recent college graduate is suing her alma mater for $72,000 -- the full cost of her tuition and then some -- because she cannot find a job."

- Link to CNN

If this passes, I think many will do the same.

I should have done the same a few years ago... My university career center didn't even know my major existed in the school and 6 months after graduation, I still didn't have a job in my field of study! I wonder if I could sue now (5 years later??)

OMFG! and I thought the baby boomers were the epitome of the "I'm-alive-Surely-that-means-I'm-entitled-to-everything-I-want" generation.

I don't know why I didn't think of this before, I'm going to sue the Lottery for making it so hard for me to win. They let other people win, why not me?

OK, maybe that's a little exaggerated - I'll sue a Casino.

A college isn't there to guarantee a job: only to educate. She spent $72,000 and couldn't determine that simple fact. Too bad for her.

Seems more like the lawyer is taking the case cuz HE/SHE needs to work, too! From what I've read in other articles, she claims the school "promised" to find her a job but it appears that she hasn't been looking on her own - looks bad for her.

hell its worth a shot....some of these "colleges" actually PROMISE a job we will find you a job period...i know of a school that does that....they guarantee a job your out 60000 and no job its bs those schools shouldnt be open!
