$50 from valve was "just ok", even for getting HL2, Ep 1, Ep 2, Portal, and TF2... particularly since I already have HL2.

But for $40? So just got added to my camera order, thanks Spoofee :D
 
Portal is AWESOME!! Even if it only lasts a couple of hours. I enjoy Team Fortress also. But I really wish Portal was more than just 19 levels.
 
don't qorry squid, the modding community will have much more in the future. But I couldn't stop playing until i beat everything, episode 2 was amazing as well and tf2 is something fun to always pick up. buy this!
 
But the forthcoming mods wont be released to the 360, most likely.

Oh, Circuit City has it for $39.99 too. You can buy locally and play today, if youre willing to pay tax.

Well if they are, you will have to pay anywhere between $5-15 for new levels/mods on the 360. Not to mention, the game itself will run you $60.

I almost broke down and went the 360 route because I run Linux on my PC, but luckily this game works flawlessly in Wine.
 
I think it's worth the money just to experience portal.

I usually rate movies by how long I continue to think/ponder/wonder about them after I leave the theater. By that scale portal ranks extremely high.

I put it down a few times while playing it, it was short so I'm glad I did, and during that time all I thought about was Portal. It has a little replay value too, there's developer commentary inside the levels, advanced difficulty, and other challenges to the same levels already played.

If your choice is this or Halo, definitely skip Halo.

I didnt realize that there was another difficulty setting. I know what Im doing tonight. After I watch 30 Rock and Drawn Together, that is.
