Sweet deal. I like the MP4 Player and the Fridge, but I don't have $229 and I can't wait 2 months for the $100 to come from the rebate.

The Rebate form says it should be purchased fromTech Depot ONLY.

office depot usually cancels most of my orders but i ordered it anyway...

it's listed on office depot's site when you're selecting the monitor that it has a rebate...

Not only is this the rebate form that OD gives you when you go to their web page, if you order the monitor, it ships from a 3rd party "virtual warehouse". That may be the reason for the "Tech Depot" designation.
 
There is another coupon/item for a DVD player. It also shows a satellite/sub speaker system on top of it. The item is 544129 and the coupon code is 17608287.

Adding one monitor above and the item/coupon for the DVD player, MP4 player and fridge I had to bump my total order (which includes the price of the free items) to $500. I found that out by experimenting with varying dollar values of paper clips.

To get all four item/coupons to work I had to bring the total (again, includes the prices of the free items) to over $655 using the paper clip test.

Each time you add a free item it deducts the minimum order value for that coupon from the total. So the monitor is $230 and another $20 worth of paper clips is need to cancel out free item coupons that are for minimum orders of $125, $75 and $50. The tote is free with orders of $75 so you need to reach a total of $325 ($250+$75), not counting the free items, to have all four coupons validated.

But to have the three items listed above you only need to buy the monitor. If you want to get the free DVD player in the mix you have to add about $102 worth of stuff or remove free items/add paid items that will match your total minimum order value.

3rd party means it ships directly from the manufacturer (Hanns).Clik on the Special Return icon next to the item to see the details.
The rebate form clearly says it should be purchased from Tech Depot Only, which is different from Office Depot.com. This is my understanding.
 
Just placed my order

My son wanted an LCD for Christmas anyway - so this is perfect - I didn't need the tote but I ordered the LCD, some tacks, and some DVD RW's and was about to get the monitor, the DVD player, the MP3 player, and the Fridge - total cost was $246 (including tax for monitor) + $30.36 (for the DVD RW's, tacks, DVD player, MP3 player, and mini-fridge). Hopefully the MIR will work and I will get another $100 off and then maybe I can sell the DVD player and MP3 player for 50% off on Craigs list and get most of my money back.

PC Connection has this for a better deal and the rebate is correct. You will get it $10 cheaper, except that shipping is like $16. Someone had a coupon for free shipping (see original post below), not sure if it still works - it worked for me a month ago and i got the monitor for $99!

I have tried to make this work with the original four items plus the luggage, but no matter the order I add the items or the coupons it won't allow the free luggage coupon. It says the discounts exceed the purchase. Any suggestions?

Got my free items today

I ordered the monitor on Friday - along with the free DVD player, MP3 player, and mini fridge (plus some DVD-RW's). All my free items showed up today. The monitor is not here yet though. Items are not name brand - but look okay - I am going to try and sell them. It was still great to get $250 stuff for free, thanks Spoofee!
 
Got my freebies today as well - no monitor either. I wonder if I can try to return my $79.99 business tote otherwise it's on the way to online auctions!!! If you are interested I'll give it away for $65 AND i'LL PAY SHIPPING!!! Free items reviewed

ordered late last week and all arrived Monday.

Tote set: Vinyl, but will do in a pinch

Fridge: cute. Will hold a 6-pack. can plug into wall or car. Will also heat as well as cool!?!

MP3 Player: the manual is one of the best examples of "engrish" you can hope to find. It is bad in the way "Showgirls" is bad. The interface will show you why you want to pay for an iPod. I'll use it as a radio, however. The digital tuning is helpful.
 
Watch out guys!!!! Did everything by the book and checked my rebate status - INVALID UPC. If it makes you rest any easier - we're not alone. Just google "Hanns RebateHQ". Methinks I'm gonna open a Texas sized six pack of whoopa$$ on OD!!!
