I don't know about you guys .. but I am a little bit
concerned about the Harriert Miers deal. I've a
conservative by nature -- but do want a lot of
diversity on the higher court .. especially when it
comes to the real big issues.

Does anyone know anything about her voting record or
anything like that?

I found some information about her here:
http://www.townhall.com/blogs/c-log/J Garthwaite/story/2005/10/03/159236.html

and the homepage of this site seems to have some
updated news:
http://www.townhall.com

but seems like a lot of stuff to read thru .. can
anyone give me an overview?

hmm, don't know much about her voting record or anything like that, but something she has been quoted as having once said has me a little concerned:

Harriet worships the president and has called him the smartest man she's known

ok, i looked up that quote and can't find it anywhere except:
This one is from an anonymous lawyer who is "a conservative Christian and worked with Harriet Miers in Texas":

Harriet worships the president and has called him the smartest man she’s known. She’s a pretty good lawyer....

penpen's link is a BLOG, not a news story, and this quote is coming from an "anonymous" source? puh-leeez... until it's a direct quote from a named source, one should automatically assume it's made up by someone who's got something against her, and is nothing more than tabloid rumor. innocent 'til proven guilty, i say ;)
i don't know much about miers, either, for the record. i just refuse to believe everything i read
