Has any other ASPEN Dental client shared the same *&%@@$# experience??!!!

Does anyone here know if there is a class action lawsuit being formed against Aspen Dental???
Hubby had a "free" exam and xrays and had the initial consultation. Now, we know he has periodental disease and agreed with them (Aspen) that he would need some teeth removed and a partial. At the consult they provided an "estimate" (the worst word in the English language imho!) and let us know that once the impressions were done - after the surgical swelling went down - and he received his temp partial, they would order the permanent partial. He had the impressions and received the temps in November. We prepaid for the permanents and were told they would be ordered and were expected to arrive in about 6 months. In the meantime while we were waiting for the perms he had the recommended scaling and plaining - over $400. a throw x 3 visits! Well, yesterday the temps split and when I called the office to claim the perms - which were supposed to be in last month - I was told that they hadn't arrived yet so that they would see him today in order to repair the temps.

Well.................... When hubby went in to get the repair and inquire about what the hold up on delivery of the perms was all about, he was told that the perms haven't even been ordered yet! :cussing: Their "explanation" was that they needed to fill more cavaties and do more impressions before they can be ordered, which is news to us!!!!

I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo angry I could spit right now! :censored: I mean, these visits ain't cheap but apparently the shoddy work and deceptive businesses are! :mad:

Has anyone else had a similar experience with Aspen??? Please either reply to this thread on PM me if you have and / or if you happen to know of any class actions are being formed against them....

Wow! Ladymez totally can feel your anger! That kind of service just really "chap's my hide"! I don't have any advice to offer though. Sorry. I promise next time I drive by one I'll shoot them the evil eye!

So, does Aspen Dental have a "cookie" implanted here on Spoofee? Did you not think it was strange that Ladymez mentions Aspen dental, and POOF!, they appear!!!! This is weird, and strange, and I feel like we are being spied on.

A lot of companies search Google for negative reports and respond to them. I think it is good business practice. And Spoofee gets indexed by Google rather rapidly, but I didn't know how rapid until today. Wow!

wow! I agree - talk about quick! I'm glad she DID reply, though, and they WILL be hearing from us - as well as the BBB and a blog on Viewpoint. I wish we had done our research before just going with the cheapest deal in town :mmph: but like so many others $s are tight right now and this work HAD to be done immediately - seriously. Guess it's a huge caviat and lesson that sometimes you do indeed get what you pay for...Pretty sad that many others have had similar situations, though - I've found info on numerous individual suits filed - and won - in other states...:suspicious:
 
I don't know if we just have really good dentists or what, but I've worked with two in Utah that are absolutely awesome. One pulled my brother's teeth for next to nothing because he knew that my brother couldn't afford it.
 
My husband and I are both going through huge issues with aspen as well. Our insurance covers basic extractions, and there is only a charge if it's complicated. I had a tooth pulled that took about 30 seconds to get out once I was numbed, and they billed me nearly 170 dollars. I would say a 30 second extraction is pretty basic!! Even the dentist told me he had no problems, because he knew my fear level.

They are charging my husband for something that was never done, because we couldnt afford the price they quoted us.

We are honest people who dont badmouth people or take advantage of situations, I wish I could say the same about them. We've been dealing with their customer service but have had no satisfaction.

Sorry this has happened to you, I hope you have better results than we have had so far. :(
 
The Aspen Dental in our area gets some pretty negative reviews as well.
 
Just curious if there's been any resolution Ladymez? Can I stop giving them dirty looks?
