I just noticed on my credit card that a business named "Minecraft Moneybookers" charged $26.95 twice to my account, and then refunded the money a couple of days later. I went online and did a Google search for them and found they had done this with several other people. You may want to check out your bank and debit card statements to ensure you aren't a victim of their fraud.

If this were a scam, I don't think they would refund you without you requesting it. Sounds like a processing mistake. Minecraft is a popular game, and I believe Moneybookers is a way to accept payments. I wouldn't doubt that Moneybookers made a mistake.

Have you ever purchased anything else through Moneybookers.com or through Skrill.com (the new name of Moneybookers)?

Any company named "Minecraft" is just messing with your head.

I have never purchased anything Minecraft, Moneybookers, or Skrill related at all. (I don't game other than the occasional Cut the Rope and Sudoku.) The reason I say scam is that these guys have money for a few days and then return it. Good way to earn interest on money that isn't yours.

P.S. I am going to be chasing them with this:

LOL! Question though, wouldn't the fees associated with charging money and refunding it cancel out any interest you would earn over a few days? I'm pretty sure that it costs more money than they would make.

When you refund a credit card, the fees are refunded as well. I am still trying to figure out how they got my credit card information. I called my credit union but they haven't been able to get a phone number for them yet. I thought all merchants had to have a valid phone number when they signed up to use card services.

Edit: The lack of a phone number makes me think it is a "merchant" that appears to be valid, but is using another company's name to perpetuate their fraud.

I'm betting you are right. The complaints would then roll into the wrong merchant. That would be the ultimate plan.
